We exist to witness God’s love so all can share in His joy – these are the words that everyone can see as you enter St. Luke Church, and these words briefly describe the vision of the parish. The world we live in needs many witnesses of God’s love who, through their own examples of life, will attract others to God, who is Love. How do I envision witnesses of God’s love?
Witnesses of God’s love take care of their own relationship with God and through their own experience help others find a path toward a deeper connection with Him. They are loving, forgiving, and seek reconciliation in their own lives. Witnesses of God’s love are compassionate and provide hope and encouragement to those who are experiencing the challenges of life. Through compassionate acts of kindness, they remind people that they are not alone in their struggles and bring God’s healing to them. Many of us seek spiritual fulfillment and purpose in our lives. The witnesses of God’s love help others find true meaning and fulfillment based on their own relationship with God. Their actions and words inspire others to choose and live the path of Jesus’ disciples. If that’s what you had in your mind when creating our parish vision, I have to say, you have set high standards for us, but I believe that with God’s help and by supporting each other, we can achieve these goals.
Over the last few days, I’ve been overwhelmed by your kindness in welcoming me to St. Luke’s family. As you know, St. Luke was a physician and the author of one of the Gospels. Our Christian tradition says that he was the first icon painter, and in Poland, we believe that he painted the icon of the Black Madonna of Częstochowa. This is my personal connection with the saint patron of this beautiful parish. I am looking forward to the future with great hope that together we will grow in our relationship with Jesus and become even better witnesses of God’s love who share God’s joy with others.
I’m deeply honored and humbled to become the Administrator of St. Luke Parish and can’t wait to meet and get to know you. I am excited to hear your stories and share in the spiritual journey that we are all on together. I would like to express my gratitude to Fr. Owen for his leadership and dedicated service to this parish. His guidance and commitment have laid a strong foundation that I am ready to build upon. I also want to thank the parish staff who have been so helpful in this transition. Their hard work and dedication are evident in the vibrant and welcoming community of St. Luke Parish. I am looking forward to working closely with them and benefiting from their invaluable support.
As we begin this journey together, I am enthusiastic about the possibilities and opportunities that lie ahead. Please know that the door of my office is always open, but please don’t come all together. I am here to serve you and support the mission of St. Luke Parish in any way I can. I believe that together, we can achieve great things for the greater glory of God and grow in our relationship with Him. Thank you once again for your warm welcome, and may God bless and guide us on this path toward heaven that we walk together. St. Luke, pray for us! Amen.
